Non-slip bath coating in Inverarity

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Inverarity

It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. We regularly repair wet room floors (ask us), acrylic baths and resurfaced baths, and common reasons people get in touch are worn-out textured areas and bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Inverarity as everywhere else we work. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

What we do, step by step

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. It generally takes a few hours, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, generally overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Work for landlords and builders

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Inverarity: your questions answered

Can you repair several things at once?

Of course, and it generally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.

What does non-slip bath coating cost?

The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

How do I clean it?

Yes. Use a soft brush and a mild cleaner.

What areas do you cover?

We work UK-wide. Prices don’t change with location.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole bath or shower tray and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

Do you work in Inverarity?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Inverarity and the rest of Angus. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Why repair rather than replace?

The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Do you need non-slip bath coating in Inverarity?

Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

The things clients usually mention when they call are:

  • Worn-out textured areas
  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth

Before booking anyone

  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • How the colour is matched
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT

Choosing a repair company

When a repair isn’t the answer

We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Acrylic baths
  • Shower trays
  • Enamelled baths
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.

Prices and what affects them

Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The colour and finish to match
  • What the surface is made of
  • Doing more than one item at once

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

How to get a fixed price

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Natural light rather than flash

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
