Non-slip bath coating near Keynor Estate

About our non-slip bath coating in Keynor Estate

It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. Our technicians work on resurfaced baths, acrylic baths and enamelled baths, and common reasons people get in touch are safety for older or less mobile people and worn-out textured areas.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will sort it. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Avoid scourers on the coating.

For landlords and businesses

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

If you manage property in Keynor Estate, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll price them together.

When to call us in Keynor Estate

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • Worn-out textured areas
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet

What to look for in a quote

  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • What prep work is covered
  • When it can be used again

Choosing a repair company

Keynor Estate: your questions answered

What do you need from me?

Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Will there be a smell?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Will it make a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Do you cover the entire of West Sussex?

Across the UK. Prices do not change with location.

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, generally overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Ask for a price

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

What non-slip bath coating costs

Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • The type of damage
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Unusual colours or finishes

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Keynor Estate. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed price

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • The material, if you know it
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower tray

Most clients in Keynor Estate get their price from pictures. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Honest limits

A repair is not right for every job, for example:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Shower trays
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Acrylic baths
  • Enamelled baths

Why repair rather than replace?

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why Keynor Estate customers choose us

  • No need to remove anything
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Most jobs done in one visit
