Non-slip bath coating in Luxted, done in place
It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. Typical jobs include worn-out textured areas and safety for older or less mobile people, across wet room floors (ask us), acrylic baths and enamelled baths.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Luxted as everywhere else we work. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.
What you get with us
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Most jobs done in one visit
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- Nothing taken out or refitted

The process
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll get on with it. The job generally runs to a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.
- We clean and degrease the standing area.
- The area to be treated is masked out.
- We apply the clear textured coating.
- The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
- We leave it to cure, normally overnight.
How to prepare
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath or shower tray, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
Advice
Should I try a DIY kit first?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

How we price non-slip bath coating
Each job gets its own fixed price. These are the things that affect it:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- The size and number of damaged areas
- The colour and finish to match
- What the surface is made of
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from pictures
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:
- Natural light rather than flash
- A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower tray
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed price without visiting.
