Need non-slip bath coating in Old Heath?

Non-slip bath coating in Old Heath, done in place

It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. If you are dealing with bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth, we can generally put it right.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

What we can’t put right

We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Enamelled baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Shower trays
  • Resurfaced baths

What affects the price in Old Heath

We give every job a fixed quote from photos. These are the things that affect it:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The material and finish
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Old Heath. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Send photos for a quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • One picture of the whole bath or shower tray
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Most clients in Old Heath get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Repair or replace in Old Heath?

Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or a bath mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating treats your existing bath or tray. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

What we do, step by step

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a few hours. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
  2. We mask out the area to be treated.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. We lift the masking for a clean edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, generally overnight.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

For landlords and businesses

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Old Heath: your questions answered

Is the work guaranteed?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Will I see the coating?

Very little: the treated area looks slightly matt.

Do you cover Old Heath?

We do. We send a technician to Old Heath for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can pets and children be at home?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We will tell you when the room can be used again.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Normally, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

What information do you need?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
