About our non-slip bath coating in Ossett
It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. We’re frequently asked to fix safety for older or less mobile people and worn-out textured areas, across wet room floors (ask us), enamelled baths and acrylic baths.
Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Work for landlords and builders
Letting agents frequently send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Ossett as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it generally costs far less than a refit.
How we price non-slip bath coating
We price every job individually. The main factors are:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The material and finish
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How many items we do on one visit
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed quote
Before you send photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Where you are, by postcode
- One picture of the entire bath or shower tray
For a price in Ossett, the easiest route is pictures: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Ossett questions
Is repairing better than replacing?
Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Can pets and children be at home?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.
Are you accredited?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Does someone need to be in?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Can I fix it myself?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

Signs you need non-slip bath coating in Ossett
Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, but wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.
Look out for these signs:
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Worn-out textured areas
- Safety for older or less mobile people
Comparing quotes
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- How the room is protected while they work
- Who will actually do the work
- How long it needs to cure
Should you replace it?
Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

The process
You do not need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It usually takes a morning or an afternoon, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We clean and degrease the standing area.
- Next we mask off the area.
- We apply the clear textured coating.
- We remove the masking for a neat edge.
- The coating is left to cure before use, generally overnight.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Let us know which floor the room is on
