Bath repair at your home in WF12
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and you can usually bathe again the next day. There’s no need to book a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. Our repair technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, acrylic and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are a chip where the taps sit and rust spots around the plughole.
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a few hours.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the day after.
Cost
Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Honest limits
In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
How to look after the repair
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Have new chips seen to early
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
Stop using the bath if a crack lets water through until it’s repaired. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the bath itself lasts for generations, which makes it well worth repairing.
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
Should you replace it?
Cast iron baths especially are worth keeping: they’re very heavy to remove, especially upstairs, and replacing like for like isn’t cheap. A repair keeps it in place.
