Non-slip bath coating in South Bank

Non-slip bath coating in South Bank without replacing anything

It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. Typical jobs include a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and worn-out textured areas, across acrylic baths, enamelled baths and resurfaced baths.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in South Bank and across Redcar and Cleveland. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Prices and what affects them

A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material and finish
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Doing more than one item at once

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Send photos for a quote

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • One picture of the whole bath or shower tray

Email us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you are in South Bank, and we will reply with a fixed price.

What happens on the day

Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. The work itself takes a morning or an afternoon, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. We mask out the area to be treated.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. We lift the masking for a clean edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, typically overnight.

Signs you need non-slip bath coating in South Bank

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, yet wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten

What to look for in a quote

  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • How your room will be protected
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show

10 questions to ask before booking

Landlord and trade work in South Bank

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

South Bank questions

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

Do you hold any accreditations?

We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Will there be a smell?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

How much does non-slip bath coating cost in South Bank?

We give a fixed price from your pictures. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item and your postcode.

Can landlords book you?

Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Does someone need to be in?

We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.

Which areas do you work in?

All of Redcar and Cleveland, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.

Repair or replace: which is better?

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why book with us

DIY kit or professional repair?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
