How bath repair works in TS6
We see every kind of bath damage: chips from dropped bottles, rust round the plughole, cracks in acrylic and holes from falling tools. Each is repaired in place with a one-year guarantee. We’re frequently asked to fix a chip where the taps sit and holes from dropped items, across cast iron enamel, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding.
Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes two to three hours for most chips, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Cost
Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

What’s near Eston
Typical jobs here are in homes near Church of St Helen, Eston Park Academy and Bankfields Primary School and the streets around them. The closest station to Eston is South Bank station, about 1.9 miles north-west. Further afield, we also cover the area around St Luke's Hospital (2.5 miles west) and Kirkleatham Museum (3.3 miles north-east). Not far away are Eston Nab and RSPB Salthome.
- Other local spots include Cleveland (2.8 miles south-west)
When we’d advise against a repair
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
Aftercare tips
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
For the first few days, keep heavy bottles off the repaired spot. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:
- What the surface is made of
- How many areas need work
- The type of damage
- Unusual colours or finishes
A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Details of any past repairs
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- What it’s made of, if you know
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Landlord and trade work in TS6

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
TS6: your questions answered
What happens after I send photos?
We review the photos and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Does someone need to be in?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Can you redo an old repair?
Yes, we do this often. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.
Will I be able to see the repair?
We aim for a repair you cannot easily find. How well it disappears depends on the condition of the rest of the bath, and we’ll tell you what to expect.
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
