Non-slip bath coating at your home in Tarbrax

The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. Common call-outs are for resurfaced baths that are now too smooth and safety for older or less mobile people, in resurfaced baths, shower trays and enamelled baths.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll sort it. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

For landlords and businesses

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

What affects the price in Tarbrax

A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • The material and finish
  • How much damage there is
  • Doing more than one item at once

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking.

Getting a price from pictures

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • The material, if you know it
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

Upload a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your EH55 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

What happens on the day

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we’re doing. After that, protection goes down around the work area and we start. You can expect it to take a morning or an afternoon, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

Before we arrive

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Clear the area around the damage

How to get a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower tray, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

Repair or replace in Tarbrax?

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Tarbrax. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Why Tarbrax customers choose us

  • One price list for the whole UK
  • A year’s guarantee on all work

What a repair cannot fix

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Enamelled baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Acrylic baths
