Trusted non-slip bath coating in The Platt

Non-slip bath coating in The Platt without replacing anything

It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. If you are dealing with worn-out textured areas and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth, we can help, whatever the material.

Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee in The Platt and across Kent. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Should you replace it?

Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why us?

How the visit works

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. Allow a morning or an afternoon, and we’ll tell you if anything changes.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, usually overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

How we price non-slip bath coating

We price every job individually. The main factors are:

  • How much damage there is
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The type of damage
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from pictures

Two or three clear photos are typically enough. It helps if you send:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Any details about the material
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
