Non-Slip Bath Coating in Town
Non-slip bath coating in and around Town: a fixed quote from pictures, a tidy visit and a one-year guarantee.
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Worn-out textured areas
- Safety for older or less mobile people

How we handle non-slip bath coating in Town
It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. If you’re dealing with a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and safety for older or less mobile people, we can generally put it right.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

What we cannot put right
In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Wet room floors (ask us)
- Resurfaced baths
- Acrylic baths
- Enamelled baths
- Shower trays
DIY kit or professional repair?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
FAQs for Town
Is there a guarantee?
All our work carries a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.
What happens after I send photos?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Which areas do you work in?
All of Merthyr Tydfil, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.
Do I need to be at home?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You do not need to watch us work.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Generally, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?
Yes. Use a soft brush and a mild cleaner.
Signs you need non-slip bath coating in Town
Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, yet wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
- Safety for older or less mobile people
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Worn-out textured areas
What your quote should include
- How to care for the finish
- If travel is included in the price
- Who will actually do the work
- When it can be used again
Repairing versus replacing in Town
The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Why book with us
- Honest advice, even when it means no job
- No extra charge for your area
- One visit for most repairs
- We leave the room as we found it

Prices and what affects them
You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The material and finish
- How hard the colour is to match
- The type of damage
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Getting a price from pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower tray
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
Upload pictures of the damage and one of the entire item, with your CF47 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
Landlord and trade work in Town
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

The process
On the day, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job generally takes a few hours. We clean up when we are done and let you know when you can use it again.
- First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
- Next we mask off the area.
- We put on the clear non-slip coating.
- We remove the masking for a neat edge.
- The coating is left to cure before use, usually overnight.
Getting ready for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
Getting a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower tray, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
