Non-slip bath coating in West Allotment without replacing anything
It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. We regularly repair enamelled baths, shower trays and acrylic baths, and common reasons people contact us are a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and safety for older or less mobile people.
We guarantee the work for a year. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Should you replace it?
The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

What we cannot put right
A repair is not always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Resurfaced baths
- Acrylic baths
- Enamelled baths
- Shower trays
- Wet room floors (ask us)
The process
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job usually takes a morning or an afternoon. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
- Next we mask off the area.
- We apply the clear textured coating.
- We remove the masking for a neat edge.
- We leave it to cure, usually overnight.
Before we arrive
- Let us know about parking or access
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
Ask for a price
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

What affects the price in West Allotment
Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Doing more than one item at once
- How hard the colour is to match
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for West Allotment. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Getting a price from pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Where you are, by postcode
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- The material, if you know it
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
For landlords and businesses
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details.

Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
