Bath repair across BS34: what to expect
We’ve repaired just about every kind of bath damage: chips from dropped bottles, rust round the plughole, cracks in acrylic and holes from falling tools. Each is repaired in place with a one-year guarantee. We regularly repair roll-top & freestanding, acrylic and cast iron enamel, and people most often call us about a cracked acrylic bath and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose.
The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a morning or an afternoon. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
Cost
Prices start from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

What’s near Patchway
We visit homes around Callicroft Primary School, St Chad's Church and Three Brooks Local Nature Reserve and the streets around them. The closest station to Patchway is Patchway station, about 0.8 miles east. A little further out are The Mall (0.7 miles south-west) and Brentry Hospital (2.2 miles south-west). The countryside around Patchway includes Tarn Lake and Purdown.
Why repair rather than replace?
A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it’s done in one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is.
Questions to ask before booking
- What preparation is included
- What aftercare is recommended
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- Who will actually do the work
What a repair cannot fix
It helps to know what we cannot do too:
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- A steel bath rusted through
Landlords, agents and businesses in BS34
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in South Gloucestershire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
BS34 questions
Do you charge for travel?
We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including older coloured suites.
Will the price change on the day?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
What areas do you cover?
Everywhere in the UK, BS34 included. Travel is included in the price.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Do you work in BS34?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to BS34 and the rest of South Gloucestershire. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
