Bath repair at your home in CA3
Small damage on a bath is worth repairing early. Exposed metal on enamelled baths soon rusts, and on acrylic, a crack keeps spreading while the bath flexes. A repair stops both. Our repair technicians work on cast iron enamel, acrylic and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are scuffs and scratches in the surface and hairline or through cracks in acrylic.
Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Allow a few hours, depending on the damage. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, normally the day after.
Cost
Our bath repair starts from £95. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.
What you get with us

- We come to you, anywhere in the UK

Getting a price
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos through our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
Landmarks near Belah
Typical jobs here are in homes near Our Lady and St Joseph's Church, Trinity School and Jovial Sailor pub and the streets around them. Other local landmarks include Holy Trinity Church (0.5 miles south) and Caldew Lea School (under half a mile south). The nearest railway station is Carlisle station, roughly 1 mile south-east of the centre. Further afield, we also cover the area around Cumberland Infirmary (less than half a mile south-west) and Carlisle Castle (within half a mile south-east). Green spaces nearby include Thurstonfield Lough.
- Parks and local facilities nearby include County Borough of Carlisle (0.7 miles south-east)
For landlords and businesses
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
What a repair can’t fix
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
How to look after the repair
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
- Rinse it down after each bath
Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before using the bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so it pays to deal with it early.
How we price bath repair
Prices start from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- The material and finish
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- What kind of damage it is
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Getting a price from pictures
When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
CA3 questions
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Normally. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
Is the work guaranteed?
All our work carries a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.
Will there be a smell?
Expect a mild smell while we are working, which fades afterwards.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we will plan for it.
What information do you need?
Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.
