Bath repair at your home in CM13

Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a repair that’s smooth, sound and hard to spot. Proper preparation, careful filling and shaping, then colour and gloss matching so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. We regularly repair pressed steel enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and cast iron enamel, and the jobs we see most are snagging damage from a refit and deep scratches in acrylic.

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes a morning or an afternoon. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

What it costs in CM13

How we price bath repair

Repairs from £95. We don’t charge extra for travel to CM13. The price comes down to:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The material and finish
  • The type of damage

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book.

Quotes from your pictures

Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To make it quick:

  • One picture of the entire bath
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

If you are in CM13 and want a price, the easiest route is photos: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. We cannot fix:

  • Wear across the entire surface, which needs re-enamelling
  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
  • A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)

Looking after it afterwards

After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:

  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
  • Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
  • Do not leave a fresh chip for long
  • If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted

There’s nothing special to do after a repair, just sensible cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners.

Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so early repair keeps the cost down.

Repairs by material

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, just like other baths.

Acrylic

An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.

FAQs for CM13

Can I add another job to the visit?

Of course, and it generally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.

Will I be able to see the repair?

On a bath in good condition, a colour matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.

Can you quote from pictures?

Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Can you repair a hole in a bath?

Generally, yes, if we can reach behind it. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.

Do I need to be at home?

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.

What do you need from me?

Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Do you repair coloured baths?

Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including pastel and older colours.
