Bath repair at your home in LL36

Chips, cracks, rust spots and small holes is repaired in place. There’s no plumbing to disconnect, the tiles are not touched, and the finish is matched to the rest of the bath. We’re frequently asked to fix deep scratches in acrylic and snagging damage from a refit, across whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding.

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It generally takes two to three hours for most chips, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
  3. Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.

What you’ll pay

Prices start from £95. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

What you get with us

  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • Colour-matched on site

Ask for a price

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Near you in Tywyn

We visit homes around Ysgol Uwchradd Tywyn, St Cadfan's Church and King's Licensed Cafe pub and the streets around them. Tywyn has its own railway station: Tywyn station. Other landmarks nearby include Tomen Ddreiniog (2 miles north) and Tywyn Hospital (less than half a mile east). For a walk, there’s Broad Water and Craig y Barcud.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:

  • The material and finish
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Access to the area
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

You can typically get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • One picture of the whole bath
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. Quotes are free and no obligation.

Honest limits

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
  • Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
  • Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath

How the damage happens

Damage during fitting is very common. Tools, tiles and fittings get dropped into the bath, frequently before anyone notices. We repair snagging damage like this regularly.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • A chip where the taps sit
  • Scuffs and scratches in the surface
  • A chipped rim or side
  • Holes from dropped items

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.

Aftercare tips

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
  • Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
  • Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby

Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.

Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, so water cannot get in. Remove it before the repair.

Your questions about bath repair in LL36

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

Most of the time. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so we need access under the bath.

Is there a call-out fee?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Will you leave a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Which areas do you work in?

The entire UK, including all of Gwynedd. Send your postcode with your photos and we will confirm dates.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

What happens if you find more damage?

We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

How long does the repair take to cure?

Normally by the following day, depending on the repair.
