Bath repair across OX33: what to expect
A damaged bath doesn’t have to mean a new bathroom. Our technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, with the colour mixed on site so the repair is hard to spot. Typical jobs include an old repair that has yellowed or come loose and scuffs and scratches in the surface, on cast iron enamel, roll-top & freestanding and whirlpool & spa baths.
We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a few hours for most jobs. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Cost
Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

What we are called out for in OX33
Most bath damage comes from something dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On enamelled baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows.
Look out for these signs:
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
- Rusty patches near the plughole
Work for landlords and builders
We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.
If you manage property in OX33, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.
Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. There is no charge for travel to OX33. The price depends on:
- What the surface is made of
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Doing more than one item at once
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Send pictures for a quote
When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- One picture of the whole bath
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Details of any past repairs
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can give you a fixed price.
DIY kit or professional repair?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Keeping it looking good
To keep it looking its best for years:
- Do not leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
Clean with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and avoid dropping heavy items on the repaired area. Get any new chip seen to quickly, before rust sets in.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so it pays to deal with it early.
