How bath repair works in PO10
Repairing baths is what we do most. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. Common call-outs are for a chip where the taps sit and holes from dropped items, in acrylic, pressed steel enamel and roll-top & freestanding.
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, and get on with the job, which normally takes a morning or an afternoon. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, generally the next day.
Cost
Prices start from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for PO10. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
What you get with us
- Same prices wherever you are
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
How to get a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.
Local landmarks in Emsworth
Around Emsworth, we work in homes near Bourne Community College, Church of St James and The Kings Arms. You’ll also find Eames Farm (1.4 miles south) and St James Church of England Controlled Primary School (within half a mile north). There’s a railway station in Emsworth itself: Emsworth station. Well-known places in the area include Havant War Memorial Hospital (2.2 miles west) and Emsworth Museum (under half a mile south). The countryside around Emsworth includes Brook Meadow (Emsworth).
Work for landlords and builders
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in PO10 use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Repair or replace?
Cast iron baths in particular are worth repairing: getting one out, particularly from an upstairs bathroom, is a big job, and replacing like for like isn’t cheap. A repair keeps it in place.

What a repair cannot fix
To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
Can I fix it myself?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Repairs by material
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
Questions from PO10
How long before I can use the bath?
Most baths can be used the next day. We’ll tell you the exact curing time when we finish.
Can you quote from photos?
Typically, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
How invisible is a bath repair?
On a glossy bath, you’ll struggle to find it. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
In most cases. Send us a picture of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
