Bath repair at your home in RG21
We have repaired just about every kind of bath damage: dropped-bottle chips, plughole rust, acrylic cracks and impact holes. All of it is repaired where the bath stands with a one-year guarantee. We are often asked to fix an old repair that has yellowed or come loose and cracks in an acrylic bath, in pressed steel enamel, roll-top & freestanding and whirlpool & spa baths.
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take two to three hours for most chips, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- We leave it to cure; you can usually use the bath the next day.
Cost
Our bath repair starts from £95. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Landmarks near Oakridge
Locally, our jobs take us to homes close to The Costello School, Oakridge Junior School and Eastrop Park. Also close by are The Vyne Community School (under half a mile north), The Rising Sun pub (under half a mile south-west) and Ruins Of Chapel Of The Holy Trinity (within half a mile south). Oakridge has its own railway station: Basingstoke station. A little further out are Basing House (1.6 miles east) and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital (1.1 miles north-west). For a walk, there is Farleigh Hill and Daneshill Park Woods.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
When we would advise against a repair
A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
Landlord and trade work in RG21
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
For anyone letting property in or around RG21, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.
What affects the price in RG21
Prices start from £95. We price every job individually. The main factors are:
- How many areas need work
- What the surface is made of
- How hard the colour is to match
- What kind of damage it is
Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Quotes from your pictures
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:
- Any details about the material
- Details of any past repairs
- A picture taken from further back
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.
Looking after it afterwards
Simple care helps the repair last. Our advice:
- Put a towel in the bath if you’re working above it
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Avoid standing in a cracked acrylic bath until it’s fixed. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and it can start to leak underneath.
Questions from RG21
Will I be able to see the repair?
On a bath in good condition, a colour matched repair is very hard to spot. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes, coloured baths are no problem. The colour is tinted by hand on the day.
Do I need to be at home?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
What does bath repair cost?
Prices start from £95. Every job gets a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up and a picture of the whole item and your postcode.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
