Bath repair at your home in TF13

Chips, cracks, rust spots and small holes is repaired in place. There is no plumbing to disconnect, your tiles stay as they are, and the finish is matched to the rest of the bath. Typical jobs include a chip where the taps sit and scratches you can feel with a fingernail, in roll-top & freestanding, acrylic and pressed steel enamel.

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take two to three hours for most chips, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. We protect the bath and the floor around it.
  2. We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, usually the next day.

Cost

Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Landlord and trade work in TF13

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Aftercare tips

Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:

  • Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
  • Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
  • Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
  • Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it

Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.

If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.

Repair or replace?

When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and the bathroom stays as it is. Where the whole surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead.

Questions to ask before you book

  • How the room is protected while they work
  • Who will actually do the work
  • Aftercare advice
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

What bath repair costs

Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • What the surface is made of
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Getting a price from pictures

Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To make it quick:

  • A wider photo showing the whole bath
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures through our quote form or call us. We will say right away whether it can be repaired.

TF13: your questions answered

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

What areas do you cover?

The entire UK, including all of Shropshire. Send your postcode with your pictures and we’ll offer you dates.

Is a bath repair permanent?

Yes, if it’s prepared properly and the bath is sound. It carries our one-year guarantee.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Will the repair show?

On a glossy bath, you will struggle to find it. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.

Can you repair a hole in a bath?

Often, if there is access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
