Shower tray repair in Crew's Hole

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • How much damage there is
  • The material
  • The colour and finish to match
  • The type of damage

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

How to get a fixed quote

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • Any details about the material
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures using our quote form or ring us. We’ll say immediately if a repair is the right fix.

Shower tray repair in Crew's Hole without replacing anything

You don’t always need a new tray. If it’s firmly supported, we can repair it where it is, saving you the cost and mess of a new one. We regularly repair stone resin, acrylic and cast iron, and people most frequently call us about edge chips from dropped bottles and cracks running from the waste.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

Crew's Hole questions

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Can you resurface a whole tray?

Yes. A full resurface makes a tired tray look fresh.

What do you need from me?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Can you price it without visiting?

Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Is my repair covered?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

What happens after I send pictures?

We review the photos and send a fixed quote with dates.

Repairs by material

Acrylic

Acrylic trays are lighter and slightly flexible, so good support matters. Cracks and scratches can be repaired.

Stone resin

Stone resin trays are heavy and rigid with a gel-coat finish. They crack if the base isn’t fully supported, and chips can be filled and matched.

What we do, step by step

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a few hours, or most of a day for a full resurface, including clearing up.

  1. We ensure the tray doesn’t flex and look for the cause of any crack.
  2. The damaged area, or the whole tray, is cleaned and prepared.
  3. Chips and cracks are filled, reinforced and sanded level.
  4. We colour-match the repair, or spray a new finish across the entire tray.
  5. Once cured, usually by the next day, you can use the shower.

Before we arrive

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Why repair rather than replace?

The tray itself may not cost much, but the work around it does: taking out the enclosure, tiling and resealing. A repair is one visit. Our shower tray repair starts from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

Keeping it looking good

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Use the extractor fan
  • Keep heavy bottles on a shelf
  • Replace failing sealant promptly
  • Stick to gentle cleaners

Give the repair its full curing time before showering. After that, gentle cleaning and good ventilation keep it in good shape.

A tray that moves underfoot needs looking at, before it cracks or gets worse.

Do you need shower tray repair in Crew's Hole?

Stone resin trays are rigid, so they crack rather than bend if the floor beneath them isn’t flat and fully supported. Movement in a timber floor has the same effect.

Most people contact us when they notice something like this:

  • Chips on the edges
  • A tray that creaks or moves underfoot
  • A damaged area around the waste
  • Snagging damage in a new bathroom
