About bath repair in BS15
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and you can generally bathe again the following day. You will not need a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. Typical jobs include rust by the waste and overflow and hairline or through cracks in acrylic, in whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and roll-top & freestanding.
We agree an arrival time beforehand. Once we are there, the work takes a few hours in most cases. We leave the room clean and you’ll know when it can be used.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Prices in BS15
Prices start from £95. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Repairs by material
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Common problems we fix in BS15
Glass and heavy bottles cause more chips than anything else. Fittings cause damage too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.
Keep an eye out for these signs:
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Chips under the taps
For landlords and businesses
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.
Looking after it afterwards
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and it can start to leak underneath.
Can I fix it myself?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
Your questions about bath repair in BS15
