Shower tray repair near Lineholt

About our shower tray repair in Lineholt

The first thing we do is check the tray: a tray that moves needs its support sorted first, or the crack will come back. We will explain what we find. Our technicians work on cast iron, stone resin and ceramic, and people most frequently call us about staining and dullness across the tray and damage around the waste.

Every job is backed for twelve months. We return to put right any problem with the work.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

Looking after it afterwards

A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:

  • Avoid strong descalers and bleach
  • Don’t ignore a tray that flexes
  • Reseal when the silicone splits or turns black
  • Use the extractor fan

Wait the full curing time before you shower. After that, gentle cleaning and good ventilation keep it in good shape.

Act on split sealant early. It lets water behind the tray and can cause damage underneath.

How the visit works

Arrival times are agreed in advance. Once we are there, the work takes a few hours, or most of the day to resurface the whole tray. The room is left tidy and you will know when it can be used.

  1. We check the tray is firmly supported and find the cause of any crack.
  2. Next we clean and prepare the tray.
  3. Chips and cracks are filled, reinforced and sanded level.
  4. We colour-match the repair, or spray a new finish across the whole tray.
  5. The tray is left to cure and can normally be used the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
