Shower tray repair in Sale without replacing anything
A cracked or chipped shower tray does not always need replacing. If it’s solid underneath, it can usually be repaired in place, which is far less work than a replacement. We regularly repair stone resin, acrylic and ceramic, and people most often call us about cracks running from the waste and chipped corners or rims.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Sale as everywhere else we work.

Landlord and trade work in Sale
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
For anyone letting property in or around Sale, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send pictures for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.
Sale: your questions answered
Can tenants book a repair?
Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.
Can I keep using a cracked tray?
It’s best to stop using it until it’s checked, in case water is getting through.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Will it make a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
Can you quote from pictures?
Normally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
Why repair rather than replace?
When the tray is firm and dry underneath, repair is the obvious choice. If the floor is damaged or the tray is badly cracked, replacement may make more sense. Our shower tray repair starts from £95. Compared with replacing, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

What shower tray repair costs
Prices start from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- The colour and finish to match
- How much damage there is
- What kind of damage it is
- How many items we do on one visit
A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
Quotes from your pictures
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- Where you are, by postcode
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Natural light rather than flash
- One picture of the entire shower tray
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole shower tray, we can price the job.
Do you need shower tray repair in Sale?
The waste is a common starting point for cracks, where the tray is cut and the fitting is tightened.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- Cracks running from the waste
- Scratches from cleaning or grit
- Staining and dullness across the tray
- A damaged area around the waste
Before booking anyone
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges

- How soon you can use it again
What we do, step by step
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a few hours, or most of the day to resurface the whole tray.
- The surrounding area is sheeted and masked.
- Old sealant is removed if it’s in the way.
- The tray is cleaned, keyed and repaired.
- The surface is refinished to match.
- We clean up and give you the curing time.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Open a window if you can
Getting a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

How to look after the repair
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Don’t use strong acids or bleach
- Ventilate the room after showers
- Get a moving tray checked
- Reseal when the silicone splits or turns black
Rinse the tray down after showering, use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, and keep an eye on the sealant so water cannot get underneath.
Don’t keep using a cracked tray. Water can get through to the floor and walls, where it causes damage you cannot see.
Repairs by material
Stone resin
Stone resin trays are heavy and rigid with a gel-coat finish. They crack if the base isn’t fully supported, and chips can be filled and matched.
Enamelled steel
Enamelled steel trays behave like steel baths. Exposed metal can rust, so it’s worth repairing early.
