Tile repair in All Saints without replacing anything

If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. We repair the tile in place, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. If you are dealing with chips from dropped pans and tools and drill holes from removed fittings, we can generally put it right, on natural stone & granite, ceramic tiles and floor and wall tiles alike.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in All Saints and across Wolverhampton. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

How to compare quotes

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and risking the tiles around it. A repair leaves the tile where it is. Our tile repair starts from £95. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Landlord and trade work in All Saints

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in All Saints as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.

The process

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. You can expect it to take a few hours, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

Before we arrive

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. We give every job a fixed quote from photos. These are the things that affect it:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Access to the area
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed quote

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • One picture of the entire tiled area
  • Any details about the material
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What a repair can’t fix

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.
