Need tile repair in Earnock?

How we price tile repair

Prices start from £95. You will know the full cost before booking. We take into account:

  • The material
  • How many areas need work
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • What kind of damage it is

Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

How to get a fixed quote

Two or three clear pictures are usually enough. It helps if you send:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A photo taken from further back
  • The material, if you know it
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

To get a price, send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

About our tile repair in Earnock

The tile stays where it is, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will tell you. We work on natural stone & granite, ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles, and common reasons people get in touch are drill holes from removed fittings and chips from dropped pans and tools.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Earnock as everywhere else we work. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

For landlords and businesses

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in South Lanarkshire and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

About Earnock

Earnock is about 2 miles south-east of Neilsland, in South Lanarkshire. We travel to clients in Earnock and nearby villages, so there’s no workshop to go to. Earnock is one of 139 places in South Lanarkshire we cover. Our jobs stretch from Earnock to Glasgow (about 12 miles away).

Here we cover the ML3 postcode area. You’ll find streets such as Aitken Road, Mansefield Road and Clydesdale Avenue, all of which we cover. If you are just outside Earnock, we cover Avongrove (1 mile west), Quarter (1 mile south), Meikle Earnock (1 mile north-west), Barncluith (1 mile north) and Woodhead (1 mile north-west). We also work in nearby towns such as East Kilbride (6 miles west), Cambuslang (6 miles north-west), Uddingston (6 miles north), Blantyre (4 miles north-west), Larkhall (3 miles east) and Carluke (8 miles east).

Our hiring checklist

When we’d advise against a repair

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.

What we work on

  • Porcelain tiles
  • Marble
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Natural stone & granite
  • Floor and wall tiles

Should you replace it?

Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, finding a match and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Why Earnock clients choose us

  • Honest advice, even when it means no job

Should I try a DIY kit first?

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

Earnock: your questions answered

Do I have to be there?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Generally, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

What happens next?

You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the whole UK, including Earnock and the rest of South Lanarkshire. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will offer you dates.

The process

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for a few hours. Before we go, we will explain how long to leave it and how to look after it.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. Next we fill the damage.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.

How to prepare

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Open a window if you can

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
