Our work in Hogaland
Hogaland is in the Shetland Islands. Whether you are in the middle of Hogaland or on the outskirts, the service is the same: a fixed price, a tidy visit and a guarantee. We work in 63 places in the Shetland Islands, from the larger towns to small villages.
All of ZE2 is covered, from the main roads to the quietest streets. Hogaland is on the B9079, which makes it straightforward to reach. If you’re just outside Hogaland, we cover Ollaberry (1 mile north-east), Urafirth (3 miles west), Sullom (4 miles south), Hillswick (4 miles west) and Scatsta (5 miles south-east). Remote and island addresses take a little more planning, so it’s best to call first.

We visit homes around Ollaberry Church and Churchyard with Monument. Green spaces nearby include Hill of Skea and Burgan Loch.
About our tile repair in Hogaland
If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we will say so. The tile stays where it is, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. Whether it’s damaged tile edges and chips from dropped pans and tools, we can typically put it right, whatever the material.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re covered after the visit. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Common questions in Hogaland
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.
What areas do you cover?
All of the Shetland Islands, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.
Do you work in Hogaland?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to Hogaland. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
What happens after I send pictures?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
What do you need from me?
Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.
Can a cracked tile be fixed in place?
Often, yes, as long as it’s still firmly stuck down.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
Should you replace it?
Replacing a tile means breaking it out, finding a match and possibly cracking its neighbours. A repair keeps the original tile. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

How we price tile repair
Repairs from £95. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We look at:
- The colour and finish to match
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Access to the area
We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Send photos for a quote
Before you send pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- One picture of the entire tiled area
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
What we do, step by step
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a morning or an afternoon. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
- The chip, crack or hole is filled.
- The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
- The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
- Finally we seal it to match the tile.
How to prepare
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Make sure the area is dry
- Point us to the nearest place to park
