Trusted tile repair in Letham

Tile repair at your home in Letham

We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. We work on ceramic tiles, marble and porcelain tiles, and common reasons people get in touch are drill holes from removed fittings and chips from dropped pans and tools.

All our work comes with our one-year guarantee. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, tracking down a matching tile and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Our tile repair starts from £95. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why us?

  • Work done at your home or business
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

Landlord and trade work in Letham

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

When a repair isn’t the answer

A repair is not always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We can’t fix:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Porcelain tiles
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Marble
  • Natural stone & granite

When to call us in Letham

Floor tiles chip when pans, tins and tools are dropped, and wall tiles get drilled for fittings that are later removed. Movement underneath can also crack tiles.

Most people contact us when they notice one of these:

  • Discontinued tiles you cannot replace
  • Damaged tile edges
  • Chips from dropped pans and tools
  • Drill holes from removed fittings

What affects the price in Letham

Prices start from £95. We don’t charge extra for travel to Letham. The price comes down to:

  • What the surface is made of
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Letham. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • The material, if you know it
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Email us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Letham, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

What happens on the day

We turn up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your pictures first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a morning or an afternoon, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Open a window if you can

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Do you cover Letham?

Yes, we do. We send a technician to Letham for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Of course, and it usually saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and we’ll quote them together.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Can landlords book you?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
