Tile repair at your home in Powmill
If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we will say so. We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. Whether it’s drill holes from removed fittings and damaged tile edges, we can typically put it right, on porcelain tiles, natural stone & granite and marble alike.
All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Clackmannanshire. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

The process
Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a morning or an afternoon, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
- We fill the chip, crack or hole.
- We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
- The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
- Finally we seal it to match the tile.
How to prepare
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Advice
How we price tile repair
Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed price from pictures. This is what makes a difference:
- What the surface is made of
- Access to the area
- The colour and finish to match
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Getting a price from photos
Two or three clear photos are normally enough. Try to include:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- The material, if you know it
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire tiled area, we can give you a fixed price.
Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, tracking down a matching tile and risking the tiles around it. A repair keeps the original tile. Our tile repair starts from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Why Powmill customers choose us
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Colour mixed on the day to match

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
When a repair is not the answer
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

- Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
- Whole walls of failing grout
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.
