Trusted tile repair in Rugby

Tile repair at your home in Rugby

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. The tile stays where it is, so you do not need to find a spare. If you are dealing with cracked floor tiles and damaged tile edges, we can generally put it right, whatever the material.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

How it works

On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a morning or an afternoon. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Advice

Rugby questions

Does someone need to be in?

We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

How quickly can you book me in?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

What areas do you cover?

All of Warwickshire, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.

Can you repair a cracked floor tile without replacing it?

Often, yes, if it isn’t loose.

Are there extra charges for Rugby?

There is no separate call-out charge. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a tile means breaking it out, finding a match and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Rugby

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Rugby as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

What a repair can’t fix

It helps to know what we can’t do:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Surfaces we repair

  • Porcelain tiles
  • Marble
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Natural stone & granite

How we price tile repair

Repairs from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Rugby. The price depends on:

  • How many areas need work
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Send photos for a quote

Two or three clear photos are usually enough. Try to include:

  • One picture of the whole tiled area
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Most clients in Rugby get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
