Tile repair for Treflach homes

Tile repair in Treflach without replacing anything

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. We repair the tile in place, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. We work on natural stone & granite, marble and floor and wall tiles, and people most often call us about damaged tile edges and chips from dropped pans and tools.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will sort it. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. A repair generally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

What tile repair costs

Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Treflach. What changes the price is:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The material
  • Access to the area

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before booking.

Send pictures for a quote

Phone pictures are fine, there is no need for anything special. Ensure they show:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take a few hours, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. Next we fill the damage.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

How to get a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole tiled area, add your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
