Tile repair in West View, done in place
A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. The tile stays where it is, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. We’re often asked to fix drill holes from removed fittings and damaged tile edges, across porcelain tiles, natural stone & granite and floor and wall tiles.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there is a problem and we will come back. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

The process
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. It generally takes a morning or an afternoon, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
- Next we fill the damage.
- We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
- The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
- We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.
Before we arrive
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Advice
What a repair can’t fix
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:
- Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
- Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
- Whole walls of failing grout
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
What we work on
- Ceramic tiles
- Porcelain tiles
- Natural stone & granite
- Floor and wall tiles
- Marble
Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and risking the tiles around it. A repair leaves the tile where it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

How we price tile repair
Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The colour and finish to match
- How many areas need work
- What the surface is made of
Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.
Getting a price from pictures
When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- A wider photo showing the whole tiled area
- Any details about the material
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
