Tile repair in Whitworth, done in place
We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. We regularly repair porcelain tiles, natural stone & granite and ceramic tiles, and the jobs we see most are damaged tile edges and drill holes from removed fittings.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Common questions in Whitworth
Can you repair a cracked floor tile without replacing it?
Normally, if it is not loose.
Can you fill holes left by old fittings?
Yes. Drill holes from old rails and shelves are a common job.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Can pets and children be at home?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Generally, yes. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
Do the materials smell?
It depends on the job, but often a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
For landlords and businesses
For anyone letting property in or around Whitworth, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send pictures for each one and we’ll price them together.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

How we price tile repair
Repairs from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:
- How many areas need work
- The material and finish
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Whitworth. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Getting a price from photos
Two or three clear pictures are generally enough. Try to include:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A photo taken from further back
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- One sharp close-up of the damage
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
Repairing versus replacing in Whitworth
Replacing a tile means breaking it out, finding a match and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Our tile repair starts from £95. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

- We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
- The chip, crack or hole is filled.
- We shape the repair flush with the tile.
- The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
- The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.
Preparing for the visit
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
How to get a price

Advice
Can I fix it myself?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
