How we handle tile repair in Windsor
If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. We’re often asked to fix discontinued tiles you can’t replace and damaged tile edges, in marble, floor and wall tiles and porcelain tiles.
Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Windsor and Maidenhead. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

What tile repair costs
Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Windsor. The price reflects:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether we combine several jobs
- The material
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Quotes from your photos
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- A picture taken from further back
- Something in shot to show the size
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.
What happens on the day
We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we are doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. It normally takes a few hours, and we will tell you if anything changes.
- We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
- We fill the chip, crack or hole.
- We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
- We match the colour and pattern by hand.
- Finally we seal it to match the tile.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know about parking or access
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
How to get a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
