Need toilet chip repair in Brascote?

Toilet chip repair in Brascote, done in place

A crack that leaks cannot be fixed with a cosmetic repair, and we will say so if we find one. Chips are rebuilt and colour-matched to the glaze, so you do not need a plumber or a new toilet. Our repair technicians work on pedestals, vitreous china and cisterns & lids, and common reasons people contact us are marks on the outside of the pan and pieces knocked off during fitting.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Take care with heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

How it works

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take an hour or two, including clearing up.

  1. First the damaged area is cleaned and dried.
  2. We fill and rebuild missing material to the original shape.
  3. It’s sanded flush.
  4. We colour-match and finish the glaze.
  5. We polish the repair to blend it in.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Ensure the area is dry

Getting a price

You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

What we cannot put right

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Should you replace it?

A new toilet means a plumber and possibly new flooring, and the matching cistern may be discontinued. Repairing the chip leaves it in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Brascote. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Brascote: your questions answered

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we will plan for it.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Do you cover the entire of Leicestershire?

We work UK-wide. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

Can you fix a cracked toilet that leaks?

No. That needs a new toilet. We repair cosmetic chips and breaks.

Our hiring checklist

What toilet chip repair costs

Prices start from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Brascote. What changes the price is:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • The type of damage
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How much damage there is

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How to get a fixed price

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • A wider photo showing the whole toilet
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • The material, if you know it

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole toilet, we can price the job the same day in most cases.
