Toilet chip repair in Greenheys without replacing anything

Chips are rebuilt and colour matched to the glaze, so you do not need a plumber or a new toilet. A crack that leaks can’t be fixed with a cosmetic repair, and we will tell you if that’s what we find. Whether it’s pieces knocked off during fitting and marks on the outside of the pan, we can typically put it right, on toilet pans, porcelain and pedestals alike.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will sort it. Take care with heavy items and clean the outside of the pan gently.

Greenheys: your questions answered

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

What do you need from me?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Can you repair a chipped toilet?

Yes. We repair chips on pans, rims, cisterns and lids.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

What affects the price in Greenheys

Prices start from £95. There is no charge for travel to Greenheys. The price depends on:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The size and number of damaged areas

What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

How to get a fixed price

Phone pictures are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Details of any past repairs
  • One picture of the entire toilet
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos through our quote form or ring us. We’ll say straight away if a repair is the right fix.

Repair or replace: which is better?

A new toilet needs a plumber and possibly new flooring, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. A repair leaves it in place. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why book with us

  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

How to compare quotes

For landlords and businesses

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

How it works

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes an hour or two. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We clean and dry the damaged area.
  2. We fill and rebuild missing material to the original shape.
  3. It’s sanded flush.
  4. The glaze is colour-matched and finished.
  5. Finally we polish it into the surrounding glaze.

Before we arrive

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Honest limits

A repair is not always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Porcelain
  • Pedestals
  • Cisterns & lids
  • Toilet pans
  • Vitreous china
