Toilet chip repair in Powys

How we price toilet chip repair

Repairs from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • How much damage there is
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The colour and finish to match

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Powys. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Send photos for a quote

You can take the pictures on your phone. Make sure they show:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any details about the material
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Something in shot to show the size

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

Toilet chip repair in Powys without replacing anything

Leaking cracks need the toilet replacing, and we’ll say so if we find one. We rebuild the damaged area and match it to the glaze, so the toilet stays in place. If you’re dealing with chips on the pan or rim and pieces knocked off during fitting, we can typically put it right, whatever the material.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we will sort it. Avoid dropping heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

Honest limits

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Pedestals
  • Porcelain
  • Vitreous china
  • Toilet pans
  • Cisterns & lids

Powys questions

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Do the materials smell?

There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.

Repairing versus replacing in Powys

Replacing a toilet needs a plumber and sometimes new flooring around the pan, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. A repair leaves it in place. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

What you get with us

Landlords, agents and businesses in Powys

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Powys as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it usually costs far less than a refit.

What we do, step by step

We turn up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your pictures first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes an hour or two, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. We start by cleaning and drying the damage.
  2. Missing material is filled and rebuilt to the original shape.
  3. We sand it flush.
  4. We match the colour to the glaze.
  5. We polish the repair to blend it in.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
