Toilet chip repair in Ringland, done in place
We rebuild the damaged area and match it to the glaze, so you do not need a plumber or a new toilet. Leaking cracks need the toilet replacing, and we’ll tell you if that is what we find. We are often asked to fix damage from dropped items and pieces knocked off during fitting, across pedestals, cisterns & lids and porcelain.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Take care with heavy items and clean the outside of the pan gently.

Why repair rather than replace?
A new toilet needs a plumber and possibly new flooring, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. Repairing the chip keeps the toilet you have. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What happens on the day
On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job normally takes one to two hours. We clean up when we’re done and let you know when you can use it again.
- First the damaged area is cleaned and dried.
- Missing material is filled and rebuilt to the original shape.
- We sand the repair level.
- The glaze is colour matched and finished.
- The repair is polished so it blends in.

Can I fix it myself?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
When a repair isn’t the answer
Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, including:
- A crack that leaks water
- A crack through the bowl or trap
- A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
