Toilet chip repair at your home in Station Town

Leaking cracks need the toilet replacing, and we will tell you if that’s what we find. We rebuild the damaged area and match it to the glaze, so you do not need a plumber or a new toilet. Our repair technicians work on vitreous china, toilet pans and pedestals, and common reasons people contact us are damage from dropped items and chips on the cistern lid.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Avoid dropping heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

Landlord and trade work in Station Town

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

What we can’t put right

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Cisterns & lids
  • Vitreous china
  • Pedestals
  • Porcelain
  • Toilet pans

Why repair rather than replace?

A new toilet means a plumber and possibly new flooring, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. A repair leaves it in place. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why book with us

  • One visit for most repairs
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • No need to remove anything

Read our prices page.

How the visit works

Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes one to two hours, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. We start by cleaning and drying the damage.
  2. Missing material is filled and rebuilt to the original shape.
  3. We sand the repair level.
  4. The glaze is colour matched and finished.
  5. We polish the repair to blend it in.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

Ask for a price

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. We give every job a fixed price from photos. This is what makes a difference:

  • The type of damage
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How hard the colour is to match

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Station Town. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

Two or three clear photos are typically enough. Try to include:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

If you’re in Station Town and want a price, photos are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
