Landlord and trade work in Wensley

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

Toilet chip repair in Wensley, done in place

Chips are rebuilt and colour-matched to the glaze, so the toilet stays in place. Leaking cracks need the toilet replacing, and we will say so if we find one. We are frequently asked to fix damage from dropped items and marks on the outside of the pan, on toilet pans, vitreous china and porcelain.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Take care with heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

Why repair rather than replace?

A new toilet needs a plumber and sometimes new flooring around the pan, and the matching cistern may be discontinued. A repair leaves it in place. Prices start from £95. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

What you get with us

  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • A year’s guarantee on all work

Can I fix it myself?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

How it works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. It normally takes an hour or two, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We start by cleaning and drying the damage.
  2. Missing material is filled and rebuilt to the original shape.
  3. We sand the repair level.
  4. The glaze is colour matched and finished.
  5. Finally we polish it into the surrounding glaze.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Advice

What a repair cannot fix

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

What we work on

  • Pedestals
  • Toilet pans
  • Cisterns & lids
  • Porcelain
  • Vitreous china

Your questions about toilet chip repair in Wensley

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

What about a leaking crack?

No. A leaking crack needs the toilet replacing. We repair cosmetic chips and breaks.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Can you repair several things at once?

Of course, and it generally saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.

How we price toilet chip repair

Repairs from £95. There is no area surcharge for Wensley. What changes the price is:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The colour and finish to match
  • How easy the damage is to reach

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Send photos for a quote

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A picture taken from further back

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job without visiting.
