UPVC repair in Cartmel

What uPVC repair costs

Prices start from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Cartmel. The price depends on:

  • Access to the area
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How much damage there is
  • How hard the colour is to match

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Send pictures for a quote

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To help us price it:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A picture taken from further back

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the window, door or sill, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

How we handle uPVC repair in Cartmel

The damage is filled and refinished so it blends into the frame, including woodgrain finishes. Builders and developers use us for snagging repairs too. Our technicians work on conservatory frames, window frames & sills and doors & door panels, and the jobs we see most are holes from removed fittings and alarms and scratches from ladders and furniture.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we’ve gone. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Should you replace it?

Replacing the frame or sill is a much bigger job, and new uPVC may not match the weathered frames around it. A repair leaves the unit in place. Prices start from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

What you get with us

Common questions in Cartmel

Can pets and children be at home?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Can a burnt window sill be fixed?

Yes. We fill and refinish the burnt area to match.

Will there be a smell?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

Can you match woodgrain uPVC?

Yes. We recreate the colour and grain by hand.

How soon can you come?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

Can tenants book a repair?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Landlord and trade work in Cartmel

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

What we cannot put right

A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:

  • Failed or misted double glazing units
  • Broken locks, hinges or mechanisms
  • Frames that are warped or out of square

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

  • Coloured and woodgrain uPVC
  • Conservatory frames
