About our worktop repair in Bakersfield
A damaged worktop doesn’t have to mean a new kitchen. The damage is filled and refinished so it blends into the pattern. Whether it’s a heat mark or burn and damage from fitting or building work, we can help, on solid wood, quartz and solid surface (such as Corian) alike.
You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

How the visit works
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we are there. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes a few hours. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.
- We look at the damage and the worktop’s finish.
- We cut back any burnt or loose material.
- We fill and shape the damaged area.
- The pattern, flecks or grain are recreated.
- It’s finished to the same sheen and left to cure.

What else we do in Bakersfield
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Solid surface
Solid surface materials are uniform throughout, so scratches and burns can frequently be sanded out and refinished.
Granite and stone
Natural stone worktops chip at edges and around cut-outs. We fill and polish the repair to match the stone.

Is the work guaranteed?
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Can a scorch mark be fixed?

Nearly always. If photos do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Landlord and trade work in Bakersfield
We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
What we can’t put right
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- A cracked stone top that is unsupported
- Laminate that has blown or swollen
- Discolouration deep in quartz
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Solid wood
- Solid surface (such as Corian)
- Granite & marble
- Laminate
- Quartz
Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Keep a trivet by the hob
- Dry around the sink and joints
- Oil wooden tops regularly
- Take care with heavy pans near edges
Wipe water away from joints and around the sink, particularly with laminate and timber.
A chip on an edge can grow, and water can reach the core of laminate. An early repair prevents it.
Why repair rather than replace?
Stone and quartz tops are templated and cut to fit, so replacing a section takes time and money. Repairing it is a few hours’ work. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
What you get with us

Can I fix it myself?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
