Repairs by material
Solid surface
Solid surface tops are the same material all the way through, so marks can often be sanded and refinished.
Wood
Wooden worktops can be sanded, filled and re-oiled, and burns and dents repaired.
When a repair isn’t the answer
We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Severe heat marks in quartz
- Laminate swollen by water from underneath
- A cracked stone top that’s unsupported
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.
Materials we repair
- Solid surface (such as Corian)
- Laminate
- Solid wood
- Quartz
- Granite & marble
Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Wipe up spills quickly
- Don’t cut directly on the worktop
- Do not knock pans against the edge
- Keep joints and edges dry
Never put hot pans straight onto the worktop. Heat can mark quartz and stone as well.
Damage near the sink is worth repairing quickly, because water gets in and swells the board.
Should you replace it?
Even if you could get the same laminate, it may not match after years of light and use. A repair is matched to what you have now. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Can I fix it myself?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
