Worktop repair in Bwlch without replacing anything
A new worktop rarely matches the old one, especially in an L-shaped or long kitchen. Repairing the damage keeps your kitchen as it is. We are frequently asked to fix a chipped quartz edge and knife marks, across solid wood, laminate and granite & marble.
You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll come back.

Looking after it afterwards
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Never put hot pans down directly
- Do not let water sit on joints
- Don’t cut directly on the worktop
- Watch the edges with heavy pans
Keep joints and the sink edge dry, especially on laminate and wood.
Daily use can make burns and chips worse, especially near the sink. Repairing it sooner keeps the job smaller.
What happens on the day
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. It usually takes a few hours, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First, we check the damage and the finish we need to match.
- We cut back any burnt or loose material.
- The area is filled and shaped.
- We recreate the pattern, flecks or grain.
- It’s finished to the same sheen and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Let us know about parking or access
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Keep a parking space free if you can

Questions from Bwlch
Do you cover Bwlch?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Bwlch. Send pictures and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Do the materials smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.
How do I book?
Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire worktop and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We come back with a fixed quote, plus dates. There’s no obligation to book.
Are there extra charges for Bwlch?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
How much do I need to move?
Only the area we’re working on. We protect the rest of the kitchen.
Can tenants book a repair?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.
Different materials, different repairs
Solid surface
Solid surface tops are the same material all the way through, so marks can frequently be sanded and refinished.
Wood
Timber tops can be sanded and refinished, and burns and dents repaired.
Work for landlords and builders
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a worktop means removing the old one, templating and fitting a replacement and reconnecting the sink and hob, and it may not match the rest of the kitchen. A repair keeps your existing worktop. Our worktop repair starts from £95. Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
