Worktop Repair in Ingrave
Chip, burn and scratch repairs to kitchen and bathroom worktops at your home in Ingrave, with a one-year guarantee on every repair.
- Repairs from £95
- A chipped quartz edge
- A dent from a dropped pan

DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Worktop repair in Ingrave without replacing anything
We repair worktops in place, with the rest of the kitchen protected. Most jobs take a few hours, and you can use the worktop again shortly afterwards. We’re frequently asked to fix chipped corners and a heat mark or burn, in solid surface (such as Corian), granite & marble and laminate.
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee.

Should you replace it?
Replacing a worktop means removing the old one, templating and fitting a replacement and reconnecting the sink and hob, and it may not match the rest of the kitchen. A repair leaves the worktop in place. Prices start from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Ingrave questions
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Are there extra charges for Ingrave?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Do you cover the entire of Essex?
We cover the whole UK, including Ingrave and the rest of Essex. Just include your postcode and we’ll confirm dates.
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
Honest limits
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- Through cracks in stone that is moving
- Deep heat discolouration in quartz, which may not fully disappear
- Failed support under the worktop
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we do, step by step
We turn up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes a few hours, and we leave the room as we found it.
- We look at the damage and the worktop’s finish.
- We cut back any burnt or loose material.
- The area is filled and shaped.
- The pattern, flecks or grain are recreated.
- We finish it to match the sheen and leave it to cure.
How to prepare
- Let us know about parking or access
- Open a window if you can
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Related advice
Looking after it afterwards
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Dry around the sink and joints
- Do not knock pans against the edge
- Don’t cut directly on the worktop
- Wipe up spills quickly
Never put hot pans straight onto the worktop. Heat can mark quartz and stone as well.
Damage near the sink is worth repairing quickly, because water gets in and swells the board.

What else we do in Ingrave
What your worktop is made of matters
Granite and stone
Natural stone worktops chip at edges and around cut-outs. The repair is filled and polished to the stone’s finish.
Quartz
Quartz is hard, but its edges are brittle. Chips are filled with tinted resin and polished.

What worktop repair costs
Repairs from £95. There is no charge for travel to Ingrave. The price comes down to:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether we combine several jobs
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Getting a price from photos
Phone photos are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Something in shot to show the size
- Any details about the material
- A wider photo showing the entire worktop
Most customers in Ingrave get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
