Chip, burn and scratch repairs to kitchen and bathroom worktops for homeowners, landlords and businesses in Merstham. Send pictures for a free, fixed quote.
- Repairs from £95
- Chips near the sink
- Damage to a stone worktop

Keeping it looking good
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Avoid harsh chemicals on stone and quartz
- Don’t cut directly on the worktop
- Keep wood oiled
- Clean spills immediately
Wipe water away from joints and around the sink, especially on laminate and wood.
Do not leave damage by the sink, because water gets in and swells the board.
About our worktop repair in Merstham
Each type of worktop needs a different approach: laminate is filled and patterned, quartz and stone are filled and polished, and wood is sanded and refinished. The goal is always a repair that blends in. We regularly repair solid surface (such as Corian), laminate and solid wood, and the jobs we see most are chips on edges and corners and gouges in the surface.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Should you replace it?
Even a single new length of worktop means templating, cutting and refitting the sink and hob. A repair takes a few hours and leaves everything in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Merstham. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

When a repair isn’t the answer
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Severe heat marks in quartz
- Through cracks in stone that is moving
- Failed support under the worktop
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Solid wood
- Granite & marble
- Laminate
- Solid surface (such as Corian)
- Quartz
Different materials, different repairs
Quartz
Quartz worktops are mostly stone set in resin. We fill and polish chipped edges to match the sheen.
Granite and stone
Granite and stone chip at edges and cut-outs. The repair is filled and polished to the stone’s finish.
Can I fix it myself?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
Merstham questions
Can a scorch mark be fixed?
Typically. Send us a picture and we’ll tell you.
When can you do it?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it generally saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you’ll get one combined price.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
What areas do you cover?
Across the UK, so Merstham is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.
Do I need to empty the worktop?
Only the area we’re working on. We protect the rest of the kitchen.
What happens after I send pictures?
You’ll get a fixed quote back, typically with dates to choose from. There’s no obligation to book.
