Worktop Repair for Ringwell homes
We travel to Ringwell for chip, burn and scratch repairs to kitchen and bathroom worktops. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- Chips near the sink
- A chipped quartz edge

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing even one length of worktop means templating, cutting, fitting and often a new sink and hob connection. A repair takes a few hours and leaves everything in place. Prices start from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.
Why us?
- Everything repaired in place
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Colour-matched on site
- Honest advice, even when it means no job

Worktop repair in Ringwell without replacing anything
Worktops are expensive to replace and hard to match, particularly where several lengths join. Repairing the damage keeps your kitchen as it is. We regularly repair solid surface (such as Corian), solid wood and granite & marble, and the jobs we see most are damage around the sink cut-out and damage to a stone worktop.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll come back.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
Ringwell: your questions answered
Are you a vetted contractor?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
What does worktop repair cost?
Repairs from £95. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.
Can a quartz edge be fixed?
Yes. The repair is colour matched and polished to the quartz’s finish.
Do you cover Ringwell?
Yes, we do. We send a technician to Ringwell for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Can you match granite flecks?
Yes. We recreate the pattern by hand.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Looking after it afterwards
It’s all simple stuff, just a few sensible habits:
- Dry around the sink and joints
- Watch the edges with heavy pans
- Re-oil timber worktops
- Don’t cut directly on the worktop
Let the repair cure for the time we give you before putting anything heavy or hot on it. After that, trivets and chopping boards protect it best.
Damage near the sink is worth repairing quickly, because water gets in and swells the board.
Honest limits
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- Laminate swollen by water from underneath
- Discolouration deep in quartz
- A top that moves on its units
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before booking.

The process
Arrival times are agreed in advance. On site, it takes a few hours, depending on the damage. The room is left tidy and ready to use once it has cured.
- First, we check the damage and the finish we need to match.
- Burnt or loose material is cut back.
- The area is filled and shaped.
- We recreate the pattern, flecks or grain.
- We finish it to match the sheen and leave it to cure.
Getting ready for the visit
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

What worktop repair costs
Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:
- Access to the area
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How many areas need work
- What kind of damage it is
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Getting a price from pictures
Two or three clear pictures are usually enough. Try to include:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
If you are in Ringwell and want a price, the easiest route is pictures: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
