Stratford-upon-Avon: your questions answered
Can a quartz edge be fixed?
Yes, frequently. We match the colour and polish the repair.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Stratford-upon-Avon. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can you price it without visiting?
Generally, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

How we handle worktop repair in Stratford-upon-Avon
Each type of worktop needs a different approach: laminate is filled and patterned, quartz and stone are filled and polished, and wood is sanded and refinished. We always aim for a repair that blends in. Common call-outs are for gouges in the surface and damage to a stone worktop, in granite & marble, solid wood and quartz.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
What we do, step by step
We agree an arrival time beforehand. Once we’re there, the work takes a morning or an afternoon for most jobs. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.
- First we look at the damage and what the worktop is made of.
- The area is cleaned and the edges of the damage prepared.
- We fill the damage with a suitable filler and build up any lost edge.
- The colour and pattern are matched by hand.
- We seal or finish the surface to suit the worktop.
Before we arrive
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Open a window if you can
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Landlords, agents and businesses in Stratford-upon-Avon
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Aftercare tips
It’s all simple stuff:
- Keep a trivet by the hob
- Watch the edges with heavy pans
- Use a chopping board
- Avoid harsh chemicals on stone and quartz
Always use a trivet and chopping board, wipe spills straight away, and re-oil wooden worktops regularly.
Do not leave damage by the sink, because water gets in and swells the board.
