West Allotment questions
Do you cover the entire of North Tyneside?
All of North Tyneside, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.
Can you match granite flecks?
We match colour, flecks and veining by hand, so the repair blends into the surface.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Do I have to be there?
We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.
What do you need from me?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.
Do the materials smell?
It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Typically, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Keeping it looking good
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Use pH-neutral cleaners on stone
- Keep wood oiled
- Don’t leave spills to soak in
- Don’t cut directly on the worktop
Wipe water away from joints and around the sink, particularly with laminate and timber.
A burn or chip can get worse with daily use, especially near the sink. Repairing it sooner keeps the job smaller.
Landlord and trade work in West Allotment
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in West Allotment use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it generally costs far less than a refit.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing even one length of worktop means templating, cutting, fitting and often a new sink and hob connection. A repair takes a few hours and leaves everything in place. Prices start from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
