Questions from All Saints
Can landlords book you?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders across Greater Manchester.
Can you fix a peeling bath coating?
Typically, yes. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Mention it when you send pictures.
Which areas do you work in?
Everywhere in the UK, All Saints included. There is no extra charge for travel.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. If there is more, we will tell you before starting.
How soon can you come?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
Bath re-enamelling in All Saints, done in place
We clean, repair and prime the bath before spraying the new finish. Most of the work, and most of the durability, is in the preparation, so we do not cut corners on it. Whether it’s a period or roll-top bath worth keeping and an outdated colour you’d like to change, we can normally put it right, whatever the material.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. This is what makes a difference:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How many items we do on one visit
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The material and finish
A repair usually costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
Getting a price from photos
Two or three clear pictures are normally enough. Try to include:
- Any details about the material
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Something in shot to show the size
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

What else we do in All Saints
Keeping it looking good
Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:
- Avoid suction-cup mats
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, as they can stain. Repair dripping taps promptly.
Worn enamel only gets rougher with time, and any rust spreads underneath. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.
Do you need bath re-enamelling in All Saints?
Sometimes it’s an earlier resurfacing that has failed, lifting by the plughole or blistering. Failing coatings are stripped back before we resurface.
Typical reasons for a call-out include:
- Enamel that is lost its shine and feels rough
- A bath in a colour that no longer suits
- Thin, worn enamel in places
- An old resurfacing that is failing
Comparing quotes
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- Who will actually do the work
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
- When it can be used again
What happens on the day
Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow the best part of a day from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to care for it.
- First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
- Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
- We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
- Primer and finish coats are applied.
- We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.
Getting ready for the visit
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
Getting a price
You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
Advice
Honest limits
A repair is not right for every job, including:
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- Problems we cannot see until an old finish comes off
- A cast iron or steel bath that is cracked right through
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Basins & shower trays
- Acrylic baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Cast iron baths
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
Why repair rather than replace?
There are times replacing is better: if the bath is cracked through, if you want a different size or shape, or if you’re refitting the whole room anyway. Otherwise, resurfacing normally wins. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
